Located on the serene coast of Eivissa, SaCaleta is more than just an archaeological site—it's a space where history and discovery come together. The park brings to life the ancient Phoenician settlement alongside a more recent military history, offering visitors a journey through centuries of the island’s past.
The visual identity of SaCaleta draws from this intersection of eras. Inspired by the archaeological process of cataloging and organizing, the design is simple yet deeply symbolic. The logo unites the words “SA” and “Caleta” into one, mimicking the way archaeologists label finds, turning the park itself into a discovery. A red band always accompanies the logo, acting as a descriptor for the park and drawing attention without overwhelming the clean, neutral visual environment.
The overall identity takes inspiration from the visual language of archaeology-from technical illustrations to editorial materials often found in archaeological publications. Elements of order and structure are subtly reflected in the design, echoing the meticulous way findings are cataloged, stored, and managed. The color palette is mostly white and black, conveying clarity and simplicity, while the red serves as a vibrant contrast, connecting the park to the lively energy of the island.
This identity extends to signage, panels, and promotional materials, guiding visitors through the site in an intuitive, accessible way. While the park is grounded in education and history, SaCaleta also embraces its playful side, fitting seamlessly within the festive and dynamic spirit of Eivissa. From the full-scale recreation of a Phoenician house to remnants of the military outpost, visitors are invited to explore history interactively and uncover the hidden stories of the island.
SaCaleta is a space where past and present coexist, offering an experience that balances the historical, the didactic, and the visual, all while maintaining the vibrant essence of Eivissa.
